Aker BP has sold its 7.4% stake in Cognite to Aramco Overseas Co., a unit of Saudi Aramco. Cognite also reports raising some $225 million from global technology investors TCV and Accel. Aramco uses Cognite’s Data Fusion technology to ‘seamlessly deliver complex real-time insights and optimize energy supply.’

Datagration Solutions has closed an equity financing round to support the growth of its business and advance its PetroVisor platform. Existing investors, including Quantum Energy Partners’ Innovation Fund, participated in the fundraising alongside new investors, led by Houston-based private equity firm EIV Capital.

EQT Private Equity and TA have sold a large part of their stake in cloud software vendors IFS and WorkWave to Hg Capital giving IFS and WorkWave a notional $10 billion valuation. WorkWave was separated from IFS in 2021 and has since executed three ‘transformational’ add-ons to its Field Service offering.

Expro has acquired distributed fiber optic sensing specialist SolaSense, adding well surveillance technology to its well intervention and integrity services.

GEP is to acquire Costdrivers, a provider of costing and pricing trends forecasting services, and procurement intelligence and data science firm Datamark. GEP is a provider of supply chain strategy and software.

Hydrogen sensor manufacturer H2scan has received some $70 million in funding from LetterOne, a UK-based investor and Korean GS Energy. H2scan’s Gen 5 hydrogen sensor is used in leak detection and process gas monitoring markets as well as hydrogen distribution pipelines. Customers include ABB, Siemens, GE Energy, ExxonMobil, Shell and Chevron. More from H2scan.

Cloud-native scada innovator Iron-IQ reports an oversubscribed $3.5 million series-A fundraising led by Ascent Energy Ventures with contributions from Greater Colorado Venture Fund and Scape. Iron-IQ also recently announced Patch-IQ adding alarming, control, IP-camera integration, custom logic layers, and advanced data integration to its base offering.

News Corp has completed its acquisition of OPIS and related assets including Axxis Software, PetroChem Wire, OpisNavx and other businesses. OPIS has joins News Corps’ Dow Jones’ professional information business.

ProFrac Holdings has completed its acquisition of FTS International, ‘reuniting FTSI with the ProFrac management team’.

Prisma Photonics has raised $20 million in a Series B funding round led by Insight Partners alongside SE Ventures (Schneider Electric’s VC arm) and Future Energy Ventures (the VC and collaboration platform of E.ON). Prisma’s markets include oil and gas transmission pipelines, highways, subsea cables and more. Prisma’s ‘AI-driven’ Hyper-Scan fiber sensing technology monitors infrastructure over thousands of kilometers, providing real time events and alerts.
