Bentley Systems is to acquire Seequent, ‘deepening the potential of subsurface digital twins’. Bentley’s ESG-conscious release has it that ‘Seequent’s products aren’t appreciably used in oil and gas exploration or production—which is served by its own dedicated industry of specialized geophysical software’. However, the deal does include Seequent’s oil and gas solutions including Oasis Montaj. The $1.05 billion deal was backed by investor Accel-KKR.

Ingersoll Rand is selling a majority interest in its high pressure solutions segment to American Industrial Partners. The $300 million deal sees Ingersoll retain a 45% interest. The sale reduces Ingersoll’s revenue exposure to the upstream oil and gas market to under 2%, ‘accelerating Ingersoll’s ESG commitments’.

Total is to close its TEP-ASD* unit and run-down the activities of its test and measurement center in Artigueloutan (SW France).
