The model is Echo, Equinor’s digital twin of the platform, currently being built at Aibel’s construction yard in Haugesund, Norway. Echo is also a window into data stored in Omnia, Equinor’s cloud solution for construction data and other Equinor databases including SAP and ProCoSys, Equinor’s commissioning database. Implico’s iGOS data exchange has been implemented at the Evos terminal in Hamburg. The tank terminal and the HPA now exchange train data automatically over an interface to a cloud communication service. The implementation runs on cloud technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.

KBC (a Yokogawa company) is to deliver a site-wide process digital twin to Rompetrol. The digital twin is based on KBC’s Petro-SIM process simulation software and will automate modelling activities, reconcile data from a wide range of refinery sources and provide site-wide optimizations.

Petrofac has secured a 3-year extension to its existing maintenance contract and a new 4-year metering contract with BP. Future Gas Station, a Recon Technology subsidiary, and China Petroleum Planning and Engineering Institute, a CNPC unit, have signed a joint operation agreement to deploy the DT Refuel mobile app in Zhejiang. Recon has also a $2.8M contract with Grand Energy Development for the design of a heavy oil transportation system in the Garraf Oilfield, Iraq.

Rotork’s IQ range of intelligent electric actuators are to be used in remote locations on an (unnamed) Indian pipeline. The actuators are linked by Rotork’s Pakscan network.
