The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) has named Gordon Lambert as interim President and CEO following Jim Ellis’ retirement. The board is now conducting a search for a permanent CEO.

Alexander Krane is now investment director at Aker ASA. David Torvik Tønne is Aker BP CFO. Lene Landøy is SVP strategy and business development.

Steve Sisneros has joined the American Petroleum Institute’s bipartisan advocacy team as VP external mobilization. Scott Parker is manager of rapid response. API has also hired Kevin Servick as central region campaign manager, Kenny Roberts as director of federal relations for midstream and Elia Quintana as director stakeholder relations.

Mark Lomas is now director of Aqualis Offshore’s European operation. He hails from London Offshore Consultants. Simon Healy heads up the newly established office in Perth, Western Australia.

Former CEO of the Australian National Fabrication Facility, Rosie Hicks, has been appointed CEO of the Australian Research Data Commons.

Navin Mahajan is VP and treasurer at Chevron following the retirement of Randy Richards. Dale Walsh is to succeed retiree Joe Naylor as VP of Corporate Affairs. Debra Reed-Klages is now member of the board of directors. Pierre Breber is to replace retiree Patricia Yarrington as VP and CFO. Mark Nelson is to succeed Breber as executive VP of downstream and chemicals. And Colin Parfitt, currently president of supply and trading is now VP midstream.

The nonprofit Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE) has named Larry Goldenhersh as president. Mary McGroarty, current vice-chair is now chair of the board of directors.

Former New Zealand prime minister Helen Clark is to chair EITI, the extraction industries transparency initiative, replacing former Swedish prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt.

Matt Hopkinson is the new EVP for the Oil and gas and infrastructure sector at Element Materials Technology. He hails from Bureau Veritas.

Equinor has opened two onshore support centers at Sandsli in Bergen. By 2021, all Equinor fields on the NCS will be supported by manned onshore centers in Bergen, Stavanger and Stjørdal.

Chairman Christopher Gaut is now CEO of Forum Energy Technologies, replacing Prady Iyyanki.

Elizabeth Wilkinson has joined Flotek Industries as CFO. She was previously with RGP. Matt Marietta has resigned as EVP of finance and corporate development and Richard Walton has stepped down as chief accounting officer. Walton stays-on as consultant to facilitate the leadership transition.

Joseph Herridge (Corning) and Dave Cunningham (Network Integrity Systems) are now members of the Fiber Optic Sensing Association (FOSA) board of directors. Mike Hines (OFS), Kent Wardley (Fotech Solutions) and JJ Williams (OptaSense) were re-elected for two-year terms. JJ Williams has been promoted to Chair.

Michael Jennings is now member of FTS International’s board and will serve as chair of the audit committee.

Deaths:

‘Fickert sheet’ creator Bill Eugene Fickert died on November 20th at the age of 94.

Geomechanical ‘trailblazer’ Arvid Johnson died in May 2018 at the age of 79.
