AKITA Drilling has acquired Xtreme Drilling in a paper and $45 million cash deal, financed in part from a credit facility from ATB Financial.

Akselos has completed a $10 million financing round led by Innogy Ventures with Shell Ventures as co-investor. The monies will be used to develop structural analysis software, big data analytics and machine learning. Akselos’ digital technology has been ‘emerging’ for some 15 years and is marketed through an exclusive license with MIT. The ‘digital twin’ technology was further developed at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.

Altair has acquired Simsolid’s ‘almost magical’ technology that combines design and structural simulation geometries.

Applied-Cleveland has acquired STS Consulting’s inspection and integrity management unit that services North American midstream customers.

ARMA, the American records management association, has taken over the Information Coalition, organizer of the annual Information Governance Conference and purveyor of best practices in information management.

BHGE has acquired a 5%, $11 billion stake in ADNOC Drilling.

Constellation Software’s Vela Software Group has acquired Coreworx. Constellation boasts consolidated revenues exceeding US$2.7 billion and some 14,000 employees worldwide.

Drillinginfo has acquired Oildex, an Accel-KKR portfolio company.

EMAS Offshore has appealed the Financial Supervisory Authority’s delisting of its shares on the Oslo Bors (Norway’s stock exchange).

Halliburton announced the acquisition of Barree Software’s Gohfer fracture modeling software for conventional and unconventional well completion design, analysis and optimization.

Indegy has raised $18M in new finance to accelerate ‘go-to-market’ for its industrial cyber security portfolio. The Series B round was by Liberty Technology Venture Capital, a subsidiary of Liberty Media with participation from international energy and services firm Centrica plc, O.G. Tech Ventures and existing investors.

Innovex Downhole Solutions has acquired the assets of Buckhorn Casing Equipment. Innovex is backed by Intervale Capital, a private equity firm that invests in oilfield manufacturing and service companies.

NetApp has acquired StackPointCloud, a provider of multi-cloud Kubernetes as-a-service. The combination, aka the NetApp Kubernetes Service is described as a ‘complete, cloud-based stack for Azure, Google Cloud, AWS and NetApp HCI’.

Pacific Drilling announced progress in its Chapter 11 proceedings as the bankruptcy court approves the Company’s $700 million deal with a third-party financial institution and a ‘backstop commitment’ from creditors. The court also approved implementation of the 2018 key employee incentive plan.

RS Energy Group has acquired UK-based Petroleum Policy Intelligence, a provider of expertise in Middle Eastern and North African energy policy and of key players in the global oil market.
