The XBRL financial reporting standards organization has released ‘XF’, the XBRL Formula specifications. XF is an XLink-based general purpose rules language for XBRL. An XF tutorial is also available.
The EU has launched a new INSPIRE Geoportal for discovery and use of EU environmental geospatial data sets. Inspire data covers ground water, transport networks, population, land use and air temperature. The Geoportal ingests metadata from the (currently 36) officially registered national data catalogues of EU Member States and EFTA countries.
The Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) are to align their non-financial reporting standards with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures. A recent meeting of the IFLEXX (International File Exchange XML) petroleum standards body discussed the alignment of the IFLEXX standard, mainly used in German-speaking countries, with international PIDX standard. IFLEXX is an open source format for data exchange between oil and gas companies.
