IFPen, Aberdeen University, Robert Gordon University announce upstream data courses.

Europe may be divided by Brexit but is seems united in the need to teach oil and gas data management with no less than three different courses coming on stream over the next few months.

France’s IFP/Energies Nouvelles has announced an 11 month Masters in Petroleum Data Management. Teaching is in English and the course is split between two campuses: at IFP School (Rueil-Malmaison) and at ENSG (Marne-la-Vallée) both near Paris.

Aberdeen University is also offering a Petroleum Data Management MSc, in collaboration with UK’s joint industry data management organization, Common data access (CDA). The course is is to kick off in 2017 on a part-time basis, with distance learning and full-time options to follow in 2018.

For those seeking a fast track to upstream data management skills, Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University is offering a Graduate Certificate in petroleum data management, again in partnership with CDA. The distance learning course will be delivered via RGU’s CampusMoodle online tool.
