PG&E deploys Arcos callout package. Well ops, safety systems guidelines from IOGP.

To datePG&E has paid out on claims amounting to more than $500 million with the victims and families of the 2010 San Bruno pipeline explosion, established a $50 million trust for costs related to recovery and contributed $70 million to support recovery efforts. PG&E has also earned ISO 55001 and PAS 55-1 certification for its safety systems. These include software from Arcos to automatically callout crews in response to emergencies. Voice activating technology encourages safe cellphone use.

The IOGP has released a several new publications as follows. ‘Guidelines for implementing well operations crew resource management training,’ ‘High integrity protection systems’ and ‘ESH, risk and impact management.’

The US Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration has released Report 14, a Guide for communicating emergency response information for pipelines.
