A joint AppianWorld presentation from Austin Rosenfeld (Macedon Technologies) and Achal Augustine (Flowserve) showed how oil country pump and valve manufacturer Flowserve has created a global online service center portal to manage the pump repair workflow and documentation lifecycle leveraging new features for mobile, social, cloud and data that Appian’s technology offers.
Sales engineers can now initiate repair requests from mobile devices in the field, approve quotations and track and update the repair status. Pictures, voice and video recordings can be attached to jobs to provide ‘as found’ information on equipment items. The cloud-based software provides a ‘single source of truth’ via ‘on the glass’ integration of multiple ERP system data on one screen. More from Appian and systems integrator Macedon Technologies.
