Stavanger,
Norway-headquartered Safran Software Solutions has teamed with
Aberdeen-based Absoft, to offer SAP-centric, risk-based project
planning to the upstream. Safran’s enterprise project and risk analysis
(EPRA) software will now be available as a component of Absoft’s SAP
upstream oil and gas portfolio. Safran will integrate Absoft’s plant maintenance and project system modules. Both companies
will offer planning and resource optimization solutions for major
projects, including modifications and maintenance, optimized shutdown
and turnaround.
Safran VP
Richard Wood said, ‘Companies can now manage all aspects of a project
from a single platform, without the need for expensive product
integrations and additional reporting tools. The
partnership offers a new approach for project teams that have
previously relied on disparate and inflexible planning, scheduling and
risk management solutions.’ A stand-alone edition of EPRA was recently
announced for SAP Hana. Safran clients include Statoil, Aker Solutions
and ABB. More from Safran and Absoft.
