Verisk Analytics is to acquire consultant Wood Mackenzie from Hellman & Friedman and other Wood Mackenzie shareholders in a œ1.85 billion transaction.

Total’s Energy Ventures venture capital unit has taken a stake in Avenisense, a French company specialized in embedded fluid property sensors to measure liquid density and viscosity, gas density, fluid humidity and oil quality.

Oceaneering is to acquire C&C Technologies for approximately $230 million in cash. C&C provides deepwater ocean-bottom mapping services from ROVs and satellite-based positioning services for drilling rigs and seismic and construction vessels.

Gasfrac Energy Services has sold ‘substantially all’ of its assets and related technology to an unnamed oil and natural gas service industry purchaser. The sale was conducted under a court-approved process as part of bankruptcy proceedings under the supervision of Ernst & Young.

Flotek Industries has acquired ‘substantially all’ of the assets of International Artificial Lift for a consideration of $2.25 million.

Bentley Systems has acquired French boutique Acute3D, provider of Smart3DCapture software for reality modeling.

IHS has bought Scotland-based drilling and completions information provider Rushmore Reviews.
