BP Exploration (Alaska) has selected AeroVironment to provide mapping and GIS at its Prudhoe Bay oil field for a five-year period. The contract marks the first time drones will be used for commercial services over land in the USA. AeroVironment operates a Puma AE drone equipped with Lidar or optical/infrared sensors.

BP has awarded Aker Solutions framework agreement for engineering, modifications and maintenance services for its offshore Norwegian operated oil and gas fields.

Statoil has extended its contract with Altus Intervention for the provision of mechanical wireline services on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Anton Oilfield Services has been awarded reservoir production management projects on a shale gas well in Hubei and a tight oil well in the Subei Basin, China. Anton will be rewarded with service fees and performance incentives as the production reaches initial target.

Aveva and Amec have signed a new five-year global agreement for the supply of a ‘full portfolio’ of software for engineering, design and information management.

CB&I has been awarded a contract by Pieridae Energy (Canada) for the FEED* of the Goldboro LNG project in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia.

Petrobras has chosen Houston-based consultants Endeavor Management to investigate and document successful industry practices for decommissioning subsea infrastructure.
