Emerson Process Management has released OpenEnterprise field tools (OEFT) a software package for configuring multiple RTU* platforms and Hart transmitters across remote sites, helping improve operations and field personnel safety. The software enables configuration and real-time monitoring in remote oil and gas applications such as wellhead automation, flow measurement, and tank overflow protection.
OEFT works across Emerson’s family of RTUs and flow computers including products under the ROC, FloBoss, and ControlWave brands. Hart communications enable configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of wired and wireless devices. Hart pass-through enables tunneling over complex Scada infrastructures with native protocols.
system provides live-mode monitoring of connected devices and flags-up devices that require field personnel. OEFT supports devices from Emerson and 3rd party manufacturers. The system can be extended to new devices by adding their device descriptions.
