GE is to acquire Lufkin Industries for approximately $3.3 billion cash.

AGR Group is to split into separate petroleum and drilling service companies managed by Åge Landro and David Hine.

Aramco’s Energy Ventures unit has taken a stake in Sekal, a drilling automation software provider and developer of DrillScene and DrillTronics.

Finnish engineering and IM service company Citec is to acquire Akilea Engineering, a French oil and gas consultancy.

Energy Ventures has invested in Abrado Wellbore Services to development its video-based diagnostic technology.

Aker Solutions has paid £75 million for Enovate Systems. The company also acquired Managed Pressure Operations for $69 million.

Ipcos’ management has bought the company from its majority shareholder KBC Private Equity.

Shell Technology Ventures is to make investments of ‘several hundred million dollars’ in emerging technology companies over the next six to eight years.

Technip has acquired Norwegian offshore engineering and services contractor Ingenium AS.

Tibco Software has acquired Maporama Solutions, a privately-held, cloud-based provider of location intelligence and geospatial analytics solutions.

FleetCor Technologies has acquired Telenav’s enterprise business. The company also acquired ‘certain fuel card assets’ from GE Capital Australia.
