Asset Guardian gets Ichthys LNG software contract

Deal targets IT assets with patch management, audit trails on $34 billion project.

Livingston, UK-based Asset Guardian Solutions (AGS) has been awarded a contract by Australian Inpex for the provision of engineering IT asset management of the $34 billion Ichthys LNG project.

AGS is to provide a hardened IT control system management tool set to protect Ichthys infrastructure, including the LNG plant, central processing facility and floating production, storage and offtake vessel. The solution includes an inventory of automation system IT components and a structured management of change process for patching firmware and updating operating systems and applications.

The system provides an audit trail of control system modifications and consolidates multiple software applications into a single system that also generates reports to assure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Ichthys’ joint venture partners include Total, Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Chubu Electric Power and Toho Gas. Production is scheduled to commence by the end of 2016. More from Asset Guardian.
