Australian HSE software house CMO has completed a management buyout backed by UK private equity investor, Inflexion. Loek Van den Boog, formerly with Oracle, is now chairman.

Chevron Technology Ventures has launched CTV Fund V, a $90 million venture capital fund to focus on companies developing emerging technologies with ‘the potential to improve Chevron’s oil and gas business performance.’

Ikon Science has acquired the software, services and intellectual property of Bergen, Norway-headquartered Terra Geotech. Terra Geotech founder Eamonn Doyle has joined Ikon as VP real-time ops.
