Claire Miller has been appointed CEO of the Energy Industries Council.

Jeffrey Lai is the new oil and gas advisor in Singapore for Intsok.

Ipcos has appointed Chris Daniel and Pieter Kapteijn as independent members to its board. Daniel was previously with Honeywell, Kapteijn is also technical director at Maersk Oil.

Weatherford International has appointed Krishna Shivram as Executive VP and CFO, and has also promoted Dharmesh Mehta to Executive VP and COO. Shivram hails from Schlumberger.

Jeffrey Maskell, of Westheimer Energy Consultants, has announced the sudden and unexpected death of his son William Jeffrey Maskell at the age of 25. William was a co-founder and director of Westheimer and headed up its marketing operations.
