Aker Solutions’ has signed a six-year agreement with TGS for the supply of its hiQbe regional velocity cubes for the UK Central North Sea. Aker also announced an award from Statoil for early phase studies of recent Norwegian continental shelf discoveries.

CGGVeritas has signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Aramco for collaborative research and development of geophysical acquisition, processing and interpretation technologies.

eCORP and Advanced Drilling Solutions are to develop a slim hole evaluation drilling unit comprising a coring rig and a mobile geological laboratory.

BP has awarded Emerson a $23 million contract to supply control and safety systems for two new offshore oil platforms in the North Sea.

Rio-based SOG Óleo e Gás (Setal) is to expand its use of IFS Applications, implementing the projects and subcontracts modules.

Marathon Technologies and Invensys are to develop virtualized fault tolerance and disaster recovery solutions for SCADA applications. Archestra and InTouch will be ported to Marathon’s everRun MX software-based fault tolerant solution for symmetric multiprocessing and multi-core servers.

Emerson has won a multi-million dollar contract to deliver its Roxar unit’s subsea instrumentation to Lundin Petroleum’s Brynhild field in the North Sea.

QinetiQ unit OptaSense has signed a framework agreement with Shell for use of its distributed acoustic sensing system, initially for hydraulic fracture monitoring.

Cairn Energy has chosen the Paradigm interpretation toolkit as its next generation 2D and 3D seismic interpretation solution. Venari Resources has also selected Paradigm as its preferred provider of E&P software. Divestco is use Paradigm’s solutions as its primary integration platform.

Petrosys has released a link from its eponymous software to Kelman’s DMASS seismic data store. The link was a joint development between Petrosys and ConocoPhillips, leveraging the PPDM data model.

Pemex has awarded Rohde & Schwarz a contract for a communications solution for six off-shore drilling rigs. The solution includes the IP-based VCS-4G voice communications system and VoIP-capable 4200 series radios.

Recon Technology is to provide Emerson PCS and SIS systems to China National Petroleum Corp.’s South Yolotan Gas Field Project in Turkmenistan. Contract value exceeds $3 million.

Telogis and FleetCor Technologies have announced a partnership for the integration of telematics and fuel card reporting to help reduce unauthorized fuel card use.

Yokogawa is to supply control systems for the Ichthys LNG project in Australia including Centum production control, safety instrumentation and emergency shutdown equipment. The Exaquantum plant information management system, PRM integrated device management package and OmegaLand operator training system are also in the deal.
