TNO has successfully completed a pilot assessment of its production optimizer for Kuwait Oil Company covering two sector models of the Minagish field. The study showed a potential reduction of 15% in water injection and scope for increased production. TNO has also signed a four year frame agreement with Statoil for consultancy and R&D services.

Addison, Texas-based Murex has chosen the Allegro 8 platform to manage its petroleum trading and distribution operations.

Suncor Energy has implemented Aveva Net to support data management at a new bitumen processing project in Alberta. The tool provides tag data validation and the identification of maintenance-significant tags and key attributes for uploaded to Suncor’s SAP production and maintenance system.

Cameron and Schlumberger have created OneSubsea, a 60/40 joint venture to manufacture and develop products, systems and services for the subsea oil and gas market. Cameron contributes its existing subsea division and receives $600 million from Schlumberger. Schlumberger will contribute various of its businesses. The JV will be managed by Cameron.

Cloud-based spend optimization solutions provider, Coupa Software, has joined the OFS Portal community.

Energy Software has announced a new partnership with Center Technologies, a Houston-based IT company specializing in enterprise consulting and cloud computing services.
