Monnit teams with M2M on wireless sensing offering

Low cost low power sensors in Nema 4X enclosures monitor temperature, light and more.

M2M Data has teamed with Salt Lake City-based Monnit Corp., to offer Monnit’s wireless sensing solutions to its oil and gas customers. Monnit’s wireless sensors, available in Industrial NEMA 4X enclosures, monitor critical equipment and assets for temperature, light, voltage and more. Sensors operate autonomously and are powered by self-contained batteries that provide up to 5 years operation without recharging.

M2M Data CEO Donald Wallace said, ‘Monnit’s low-cost, low-power wireless sensors will allow us to expand our sensor offering and enable our customers to monitor more conditional and environmental variables.’ Data from the new sensors will be captured to M2M Data’s remote monitoring services (RMS). The hosted service remotely monitors fluid flow, compressor performance, tank batteries, artificial lift devices and other related surface equipment. More from M2M and Monnit.
