Distributed temperature sensing (DTS) systems producer SensorTran, has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Halliburton. DTS will become a component of Halliburton’s fiber optic center of excellence in Houston.

HP is to acquire enterprise information management software house Autonomy Corporation for £25.50 per share cash.

Infor affiliate Lawson Software Americas has acquired continuous controls monitoring software developer Approva.

Safety solutions provider Intertek has acquired the QinetiQ fuels and lubricants testing business.

Lufkin Industries is to buy Canadian well optimization company Pentagon Optimization Services.

Nova Metrix has completed the acquisition of UK based asset monitoring solutions provider Sensornet. Sensornet’s in-well oil and gas business is being retained by its former owner, Tendeka.

SGI has completed its acquisition of open source computational fluid dynamics company OpenCFD.

Spectraseis has received new investment of CHF 2.8 million from SVC-Ltd, a wholly owned Credit Suisse Group unit.

Visualization Sciences Group is to acquire image processing and analysis software provider Noesis.
