Following its teaming with Neuralog last month, Volant has announced a partnership with EnergyIQ to deliver a ‘full-featured,’ PPDM-based data management and integration solution for the upstream. The solution comprises a combo of EnergyIQ’s PPDM-based Trusted Data Manager (TDM) software and Volant’s ‘Envoy’ integration platform. Users will be able to transfer data between TDM and applications including IHS’ Petra, OpenWorks and Geographix.
Volant has also entered into a partnership with Geologic Systems for the integration of its ‘gDC’ data repository with Envoy. Users can now import gDC data directly into their geoscience applications. Volant is now planning to extend Envoy with support for Geographix, Petrel, Paradigm, PPDM and GeoFrame.
EnergyIQ president and CEO Steve Cooper added, ‘Integration between TDM and Volant’s connectivity offerings establishes an effective data management platform for both small and large organizations.’ The announcements were made at the 2011 PPDM Data Management Symposium and Tradeshow in Calgary last month.
