Rick Morneau’s startup, Morneau Consulting has signed with the TradeFair Group to co-locate a Virtual Reality summit with the upcoming Digital Plant 2011 event in Houston. The VR Summit will include a ‘serious gaming’ segment covering the ‘rapidly developing’ virtual reality/3D/industrial gaming markets. Morneau said, ‘The VR Summit will provide real world content, data and market intelligence on how virtual reality-based technologies open opportunities for plant owners and operators to improve performance and reduce risk across the plant lifecycle.’ Morneau, previously with Chevron, has set up his consulting outfit to apply VR-based technologies to complex work processes.
