Aveva has acquired the software division of Z+F UK, developer of the LFM 3D laser point cloud processing package. AVEVA is to improve integration of laser data and its Laser Modeller engineering tool and will establish a 3D data capture centre in Manchester, UK.

Flint Energy Services has completed its acquisition of Carson Energy Services in a deal comprising $112 million in cash, shares and an additional contingent payment.

Fugro is to acquire the ocean bottom nodes business of SeaBird Exploration for $ 125 million.

HP has acquired Autonomy Corp. for £25.50 per share cash.

NuTech Energy Alliance has acquired special core analysis boutique Poro-Labs.

Pipeline monitoring specialist Omnisens has received a ‘substantial’ investment from Credit Suisse’s wholly-owned investment vehicle SVC.

Chinese oil country ERP specialist Pansoft is to acquire Hefei Langji Technology and its Shanghai Zhongrui unit for RMB 10.8 million ($1.7 million).

PennWell has acquired the assets of energy mapping and database provider eMarket Software. eMarket’s technology will add web-based mapping to PennWell’s MAPSearch offering.

Nova Metrix has acquired UK-based Sensornet, provider of fiber-based distributed temperature and strain measuring systems. Sensornet’s former owner Tendeka is to retain the in-well oil and gas business.

Technip is to acquire the subsea engineering company Global Industries for $8 per share. The transaction values Global at $1,073 million including debt.
