The French Petroleum Institute IFP has changed its name to ‘IFP New Energy,’ to more closely reflect the increasingly ‘green’ nature of its research programs.

Ingrain has promoted Marcus Ganz from COO to CEO, replacing co-founder Henrique Tono, who is becomes chairman.

Idea Integration has joined the Microsoft Upstream Reference Architecture Initiative.

Microsoft informed us that Schlumberger is indeed a founder member of the Microsoft Upstream Reference Architecture (MURA). A Schlumberger spokesperson added, ‘Schlumberger is a partner in Microsoft’s Upstream Reference Architecture. We do not have any further statements.’
