The EU Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) standards supervisory has issued a Guide for standards writers encouraging them to consider the special requirements of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Guide sets out to increase uptake of EU standards amongst this group which makes up 99% of all EU corporations. The Guide is available in English and French and can be downloaded from www.cen.eu/go/SME.

The W3C’s Working Group on database to RDF mapping—a.k.a. ‘RDB2RDF’ is inviting comment on the first public working draft of its ‘Use Cases and Requirements for Mapping Relational Databases to RDF’ proposal. The document includes use cases from science and industry showing how relational data is exposed in patterns that conform to RDF.
