Aveva has acquired the Mars line of business from Logimatic, adding plant engineering, information management, materials, project management design and construction planning. Aveva has also bagged ADB Systemer’s ‘WorkMate’ operations integrity management business.

Baker Hughes has bought Russian Oilpump Services, a Siberia-based electrical submersible pumping service company.

TGS’ Geological Products division has purchased the directional survey business of P2 Energy Solutions’ Tobin business line, including a database of over 38,000 directional surveys.

Energy Solutions has merged with Houston-based Entessa, a provider of logistics management software for the oil and gas supply chain.

~

The French Government’s Strategic Investment Fund has acquired a 5% stake in CGGVeritas, purchasing shares on the open market.

Stingray Geophysical has raised £3.15 million in ‘growth equity’ from existing shareholders Energy Ventures, Cody Gate Ventures, Chevron Technology Ventures and Statoil Venture and from execs Magne Sveen and Martin Bett.
