IFS launches EPC toolkit with ISO 15926 support

ERP package scales to ‘mega’ engineering projects, provides ‘eco-footprint’ analysis.

Swedish component-based enterprise resources planning (ERP) software supplier Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS) has announced a new solution for oil and gas contractors. IFS’ EPC* Toolkit, described as a ‘standardized, agile tool’ provides control of projects of any size. The EPC Toolkit supports EPC operational processes including project management, engineering, material management and job costing.

The EPC Toolkit is designed to displace today’s ‘fragmented’ IT solutions, in-house development and ‘standard’ enterprise applications that lack EPC support. The Toolkit leverages IFS’ experience of Norway’s NORSOK standards and includes ISO 15926 in its portfolio of supported standards. The Toolkit includes an ‘eco-footprint’ manager to analyze and document projects’ environmental impact and suggest mitigation measures.

IFS Director of Oil and Gas Carl-Magnus Adamsson said, ‘With project management, document management, support for fabrication, installation and go-live, the EPC Toolkit gives large EPC contractors an enterprise solution that integrates with legacy solutions for financials and human resource management. Integrating the Toolkit is easy thanks to its open, service-oriented architecture.’ More from www.oilit.com/links/0906_3.
