Cortex Business Solutions (formerly Electrobusiness) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with one of Canada’s top five integrated oil and gas companies to become its primary e—commerce solution provider. Under the terms of the MOU, Cortex will connect the major’s top 3,000 suppliers across North American upstream, midstream, downstream, oil sands and corporate business units. Implementation will begin immediately, with the majority of the initiative being completed by year end.
Cortex VP Ryan Lailey said, ‘This contract validates the benefits of our approach of providing a low cost, efficient solution to solve an important business need. Over the next 12 months Cortex will experience significant growth in our customer base across North America and will provide the foundation to expand our service to additional companies of similar size.’ Cortex clients include ConocoPhillips and PetroCanada.
