Amalto adds PIDX conformant documents to ‘b2box’

e-Business specialist extends reach to oil and gas operator-supplier transactions.

Franco-American e-business specialist Amalto Technologies is targeting the oil and gas vertical with the addition of Petroleum Industry Data Exchange (PIDX) standards-based interface for upstream transactions. Amalto’s b2box software supports electronic business to business (B2B) transactions with trading partners and automates the exchange of business documents. The PIDX extensions will support e-business initiatives between large corporations and their supplier networks.

Rosetta Net

The PIDX b2box allows oil and gas service companies to transact with clients through PIDX documents over transport protocols such as Rosetta Net and AS2. The PIDX b2box can handle invoice document and attachments such as field tickets.

Foehn

Amalto CEO Jean-Pierre Foehn said, ‘Our PIDX-ready b2box allows midsize suppliers to enable B2B transactions with their trading partners quickly while providing back-office integration.’ Amalto’s oil and gas customers include Total and BAPCO in the petroleum industry. Amalto has a strategic partnership with Ariba to enable supplier back-end integration through b2box, with the more than 160,000 suppliers transacting within the Ariba Supplier Network.
