Mobile MRO from Syclo optimizes asset ‘touches’

Maximo Mobile Syclo Edition (SE) extends asset management to field workers.

Mobile computing solutions provider, Illinois-based Syclo is extending the reach of IBM Maximo for Oil and Gas to field workers with its new Maximo Mobile Syclo Edition (MMSE) product line. Syclo MMSE improves operator productivity by targeting asset ‘touches’ to keep equipment functioning. Field data from Syclo’s mobile units can be integrated into back-end applications, speeding management decision making and providing accurate information for compliance reporting. Syclo’s products are built on the Agentry platform and are preintegrated with leading back-end systems including Maximo SAP, Primavera and Datastream.

Richard Padula, Syclo president and CEO said, ‘We work with partners to extend their applications’ reach with our Agentry-based platform and streamline operations with leading-edge mobile technology.’ Other oil country Syclo solutions target work and inventory management. A new Smart Task Tracker application has been deployed by a major oil company client to speed plant turnarounds, shutdowns and outages by eliminating excess foot traffic and paper-driven sign-offs. Syclo’s mobile products are used by some 40 oil and gas companies worldwide including Alyeska Pipeline, BP, Columbia Gas, El Paso, Gulf South Pipeline and Scotia Gas Networks.
