IT consultant Neoris and SAP have teamed on a process visualization and integration portal (VIP) for Pemex’ Básica gas and petrochemicals unit. The portal provides decision support across Básica’s production, planning and operations.
Pemex Gas
Básica operates 10 gas processing complexes and several hundred thousand tons of storage. A large number of industrial IT systems made information integration, reporting and analysis problematical. A study group of operational and business specialists identified SAP’s NetWeaver-based xApps for Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (xMII) the solution to the integration issue and outsourced portal development to Neoris.
Muruzábal
Neoris’ CEO Claudio Muruzábal said, ‘SAP xMII allows daily or real time integration of data from SAP and non-SAP sources. The VIP portal combines information from field systems with back office tools for decision support, sample management, the PI data historian and several SAP modules. VIP dashboards serve in-context data to production, planning, quality, maintenance and HSE specialists. Key performance indicators can be accessed from any web browser and ‘mini dashboards’ have been developed for information delivery to PDAs and cellular phones.’ Neoris is headquartered in Miami.
