The Information Store (iStore) has announced availability of its PetroTrek asset management solution on Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007. A Microsoft Virtual Earth GIS front end is also available. Launched in 1997, PetroTrek is used by BP, Chevron, PEMEX and Shell.

SharePoint Server allows our teams to collaborate more effectively on managing our production assets. Web services
PetroTrek lets users access, visualize and control data, enabling more effective use of information. The web services infrastructure lets asset teams combine information from multiple data sources into customizable web pages. The .NET-based solution can accesses data anywhere on the network, embedding role-based data security. PetroTrek presents information in familiar form as well logs, production charts, directional surveys and maps.
