IHS integrates data and interpretation suite, adds A&D decision support. Well test dataset acquired

Enerdeq data connection for Petra, Acquisition Screener announced as RapiData enters IHS fold.

The latest version of IHS’ Petra geological interpretation package includes the IHS’ Enerdeq Direct Connect functionality announced last month (OILITJ March 07), a services-oriented architecture for automated data access and update. The hosted data and software combo should ease data management for Petra users.

Acquisition Screener

IHS also announced a new ‘Acquisition Screener’ (AS) to provide decision support to upstream acquisition and divestment (A&D) teams. AS helps identify potential acquisition targets and validates economic assumptions, providing information on operator rankings, valuations, activity operating expenses and reserves.

Rose

IHS senior VP Mark Rose said, ‘We have added structure calculations and logical navigation to the numerous datasets that we know are used by A&D teams which can now focus on evaluations, negotiations and networking rather thank on data collection and manipulation.’ More from Neil.Job@ihs.com.

RapiData

In what has been a busy month, IHS also announced the acquisition of the RapiData Well Test, Pressure and Completions Data for Western Canada from Calgary-based Rapid Technology Corp. RapiData is already available from IHS AccuMap and Enerdeq products. Rapid Technology Corp. is now a holding company with an investment interest in publicly traded Rapid Solutions Corporation which is unaffected by the sale. More from Bob.meyer@ihs.com.
