Petris buys Maurer

Petris has acquired the software assets of Noble Technology’s Maurer Technology division. The portfolio includes 18 drilling and completion tools.

Petris Technology has acquired the software and support assets of Maurer Technology, a Noble Corp. unit. Petris is to assume world-wide responsibility for the development, sales, service, and future development of the Maurer drilling and completion software.

Galaxy

Maurer offers 18 individual applications for wellbore trajectories cementing and casing strings design, torque and drag analysis, wellbore hydraulics, stability and control and various coiled tubing and completion tools. Maurer’s software holds data in Galaxy, a shared Microsoft Access database.

PetrisWinds Now

Petris has been offering Maurer’s software via its ‘applications on demand’ service, PetrisWINDS Now, and also through the Society of Petroleum Engineer’s E&P Software Toolbox.

Pritchett

Petris CEO Jim Pritchett said, ‘With the current outlook for the drilling and completion market, and our good relationship with Maurer, we see a great future for this venture. Our integration technology platform, PetrisWINDS Enterprise, will help take the Maurer toolkit to the next level of interoperability, performance and ease-of-use.’ Petris is to continue to use the Maurer name.
