Business Intelligence specialist ‘formalizes’ oil and gas practice—and they’re hiring too!

Chicago-based Knightsbridge, a professional services specialist in business intelligence and data warehousing has just ‘formalized’ its Energy Practice. Knightsbridge, which has offices in Houston and London has been working for oil and gas and utility clients such as BP, Devon Energy Corporation, and Williams since 2004. Services span E&P, midstream operations, energy trading, and refining and marketing.

Ruddy

Energy Practice Area Leader John Ruddy said, ‘Mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, energy price volatility pressures, and market demands require that energy companies manage their operations using accurate and reliable data. This needs to be delivered where and when it’s needed to help management make actionable decisions.’

Digital Oilfield

Knightsbridge’s oil and gas offering supports data mining of digital oilfield data. The company advocates deployment of standard data models and processes. The company recently joined the Calgary-based Public Petroleum Data Model Association (PPDM). Standards models support ‘improved information consistency, accuracy, and reporting.’ Other facets of Knightsbridge’s offering include well and field performance management solutions, consolidated portfolio management solutions for energy trading, regulatory compliance reporting and cash flow forecasting.

‘We’re hiring’

Knightsbridge has embarked on an active recruiting effort to support the rapid expansion of the firm’s Energy Practice and other areas. Knightsbridge currently employs more than 600 people.
