Marathon QuickTix—purchase to pay

Partners Wellogix and ChanneLinx to implement branded e-business SAP front-end.

Wellogix and partner ChanneLinx have implemented a ‘purchase-to-pay’ e-business solution for Marathon Oil. The Marathon-branded ‘QuickTix’ process for supplies and complex oil field services routes transactions through Marathon’s global procurement process, improving efficiency and streamlining operations. SAP NetWeaver was used to integrate mySAP Supplier Relationship Management with Wellogix’ Complex Services Management Suite. The integrated package enables Marathon to improve complex services procurement and increase collaboration with suppliers.

Wellogix CEO Ike Epley said, ‘Marathon has invested substantial financial and human resources in its SAP solution. By combining mySAP SRM with our EFT module, Marathon has achieved significant leverage from the combined offering.’

Maier

SAP VP for the oil and gas vertical, Peter Maier said, ‘We recognize the need for industry partnerships to address complex services procurement. By leveraging Marathon’s existing ERP framework with point to point integration through mySAP SRM, enhanced by the use of industry standards (PIDX) and Wellogix’s industry knowledge and functionality, SAP and Wellogix have provided an economical and timely solution. Regarding the upstream, we see our partnership with Wellogix fitting well with our enterprise services vision. Wellogix is committed to build out its complex services procurement scenarios on the SAP composite application framework and xAPP product line.’
