Updated software for Shell’s portfolio

Ikon Science is a new supplier to Shell’s global portfolio and Fugro-Jason’s Workbench is updated.

Shell has selected software from UK-based Ikon Science for integration into its Software Suite Portfolio (SSP) for E&P. RokDoc V 4.0 combines well logs and seismic information to make predictive models.

Another supplier to Shell’s SSP, Fugro-Jason has just announced version 7.0 its Geoscience Workbench (JGW). The new release promises improved, global simultaneous AVO inversion and a more complete analysis of pre-stack seismic data. Jason has also introducing new consultancy services including Markov-Chain Monte-Carlo (MCMC) probabilistic inversion engine and a new patented polar anisotropy compensated simultaneous AVO inversion technique.
