PKI One digital signatures for UK DTI

The DTI has announced that its Digital Signature initiative will be ready to roll for 2005.

The DTI and LOGIC have rolled-out the UK’s Oil and Gas Trust Scheme for digital certificates. A number of companies have been approved to issue digital certificates to the oil and gas oil industry following a DTI-led study of available solutions.

Digital Submissions

During 2005 DTI will start to require submissions to government via the UK Oil Portal to be digitally signed. The Trust Scheme will be managed by a small team that initially will include DTI.

PKI One

One participant is Aberdeen-based PKI One which provides ‘complete, open standard, low cost solutions’ public key solutions ‘tailored to the energy sector.’
