Scandpower Petroleum Technology has been selected by Tecplot as worldwide distributor for its Reservoir Simulation (RS) post-process plotting solution. Tecplot RS is an integrated plotting environment oil reservoir modeling, co-developed by ChevronTexaco and Tecplot. See last month’s Oil IT Journal for more on the latest release of Tecplot.
Roberts
Tecplot product manager Don Roberts said, ‘We expect Scandpower’s industry expertise, global coverage, and contacts will grow Tecplot RS’ share of the post-processing market.’
ECLPost
Scandpower is also responsible for the distribution and maintenance of other reservoir simulation tools such as ECLPost—originally developed by Norsk Hydro. ECLPost is a collection of routines for pre-and post-processing of simulation models and results, integrated into a neat and fast toolbox for reservoir engineers working with ECLIPSE reservoir simulations.

Scandpower director of reservoir technology Erik Ackles added,

for enhancing the reservoir engineer’s
productivity.’

The price of Tecplot RS begins at US$3,500.00 for a perpetual single-user license on Windows, Linux, Mac OSX, or UNIX. Multi-platform network licenses are also available. In addition to distribution by Scandpower PT, Tecplot RS will be sold directly by Tecplot.
