Many of Schlumberger’s clients have been hankering after a generic mapping tool to replace the plethoric embedded mapping engines of GeoFrame and the Finder SmartMap tool. The answer now is SmartView based on ESRI’s Arc 8 technology.
SmartView
SmartView provides access to E&P data using a Common Mapping Canvas. It allows authorized users to select and view data originated by multiple Finder, GeoFrame and SDMS projects. This data integrates with other spatial data into a comprehensive mapping and analysis tool powered by ArcView. SmartView includes ArcView 8.1 functionality along with extensions and controls to retrieve and display Finder data.
