Maurer Tech and DOE Tally

Maurer Technology has developed an electronic tally sheet for use on Pocket PC’s. The software, funded by the US Department of Energy, lets engineers carry tubular inventories into the field.

Noble Corporation unit Maurer Technology Inc. (MTI) is offering a free electronic tally sheet for Pocket PC’s. The Pipe Tally Sheet (PTS) lets engineers build an inventory of tubular products and downhole tools.

US DOE

The PTS was funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory. Maurer says that Pocket PC usage in the oil patch is increasing. Large and small service and operating companies are using Pocket PC’s, equipped with easy to use software programs to augment field worker productivity and efficiency.

Driller’s Toolkit

The PTS complements Maurer’s Driller’s Toolkit Pocket PC package for drilling and completion engineers. Download the PTC and user manual from www.drillerstoolkit.com or www.npto.doe.gov.
