Troy-Ikoda Group (TIG) has acquired the assets of Aberdeen-based consultancy Granite Rock from parent group (now “J2C”). The deal includes Granite Rock’s FaultMagic software, trademarks, source code, and sundry Internet intellectual property.

Troy Ikoda managing director Martyn Millwood Hargrave said, “The acquisition of FaultMagic will bolster and enhance our software sales and service offerings in high fidelity 3D reservoir modeling.

FaultMagic’s robust methodology and successful case histories compliments our FaultFinder 3D application perfectly. The time is ripe for the industry to apply new high productivity 3D/4D search engines and predictive technologies to existing fields and exploration problems.”
