People on the move

This month’s movers hail from A2D Technologies, DigiRule, the API, Petris and FileTek.

David Armitage, founder and former CEO of GeoGraphix has joined A2D Technologies as CEO. In 1994, following Landmark’s acquisition of GeoGraphix, Armitage founded Qubit, a consumer technology firm providing innovative Internet access devices for the home.

Adel Takla has joined DigiRule’s sales staff as borehole seismic representative. Takla also runs his own company – BSC. More from www.bseismic.com.

Lee Raymond, chairman and CEO of ExxonMobil has been elected to a one-year term as chairman of the board of the American Petroleum Institute (API).

Petris Technology has appointed Walt Rosenbusch as VP of e-Government. Rosenbusch was previously Director of the Minerals Management Service (MMS) at the U.S. Department of the Interior, where he managed the federal mineral revenue and OCS leasing and administration programs.

Jeffrey Maskell has been appointed manager of oil and gas client services by FileTek, with responsibility for the SeiScan GeoData relationship (see page 5). Maskell previously worked with DPTS, Petroconsultants, and Petroleum Exploration Computer Consultants.
