Gabon to promote ninth round acreage on

The Gabonese government has selected the Schlumberger e-Business portal, to promote its ninth licensing round. Gabon’s Petrolin Group is managing the acreage sale to be kicked-off at the AAPG.

Schlumberger’s IndigoPool subsidiary is to host the Gabonese governments promotional effort for its ninth round of licensing. IndigoPool will also be promoting Gabonese open acreage internationally. A total of 27 blocks - thirteen onshore, five shallow water and nine deepwater - will be offered for sale during the licensing round, slated to open on April 17 at the annual meeting of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) in New Orleans.
