A couple of quotes a propos of data modeling. First from the June Byte Magazine, in an article entitled 'A career in data modeling'. 'In the 1970's there was a brief push towards developing an 'enterprise data model.' But this idea has largely been abandoned, leaving many large, expensive, and uncompleted projects in its wake'. Sounds painful. Overheard at the PNEC Data Integration Conference 'If a project takes longer than World War II then there must be something wrong.' Oh ye of little faith!
