Faraguna back with Western (January 1997)

John Faraguna has rejoined Western Atlas Logging Services to assume the position of vice president, business development.

In this position, Faraguna will be involved in marketing, strategic alliances, and the development and rollout of new technology. He will be based at the Western Atlas headquarters in Houston. Faraguna first joined Western Atlas Logging Services in 1984 after obtaining a B.S. degree in geology and geophysics from Yale University. During a 5-year tenure at Western Atlas, he helped develop several software applications for interactive formation imaging and analysis, and also obtained an M.S. degree in geology from the University of Houston. Faraguna left Western Atlas in 1989 to join the M.B.A. program at Stanford University. After obtaining his degree in 1991, he joined the consulting practice of Arthur Andersen & Co., where he worked for 5 years as a management consultant to the energy industry.
