Panther to serve PetroBank datastore (July 1996)

Canadian company Panther Software has teamed up with IBM Petroleum Industry Solutions to build a network-based petroleum data management server for IBM’s PetroBank datastore.

Panther has already proved itself in the area with its own SDMS seismic data management system which enables the accessing, moving and exporting of various formats of seismic data at the desktop. In the IBM application the aim is to streamline the access of seismic data requested from a PetroBank archive to the client's desktop applications such as SeisWorks, IESX, Charisma and SeisX.
