The IBM RS/6000 scalable POWER parallel system at Cornell Theory Center based in Ithaca, is to be used by Schlumberger Oilfield Services Company Geco-Prakla for a variety of seismic processing projects in a quest to reduce the time it takes to process seismic data, a continuing focus for the geoscience industry
