Perceptive change of name (December 1996)

Following the disposal of its instrument subsidiary, Perceptive Scientific Imaging (SPI) has been incorporated under the name of Petris Technology.

Petris a privately held well information management company based in Houston, remains under the same management and will continue to specialize in well log digitization, imaging, storage and retrieval. The company currently provides well data management for over 50 oil and gas exploration and production companies. Petris is a Delaware corporation and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Digital Imaging Technology (DITI) in Houston. The name change was prompted by the July 1996 sale of one of DITI's former subsidiaries, Perceptive Scientific Instruments. The name 'Perceptive Scientific' and the PSI logo were included in the sale. Petris operates in three primary areas - well log digitizing, well log delivery and storage and the newest addition, customized Intranet data management solutions. The Intranet system is currently being tested in oil and gas companies.
